Our Mission
The Fairfax Church of Christ seeks to lead the lost to salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ, and teach them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our mission is realized through the following Christ-centered, Biblically-sound principles.
We welcome all visitors from our community and adjoining areas who are interested in a deeper faith through fellowship, study, service, and worship. Children are the future of Christ's church and are welcome, along with their families, in a supportive and uplifting environment.
Members of the Fairfax Church of Christ are taught to conduct themselves, their work, and worship as God commands the New Testament church (1 John 5:1-3).
- Evangelize: To seek the lost in our community and proclaim the saving grace of Christ Jesus unto salvation. This was Christ's final commandment (Mark 16:15) and the cornerstone of our mission.
- Educate: To grow spiritually through Biblically based classes and sermons that will lead our children unto salvation (2 Timothy 3:14-15), and develop Christians that will live for God in the 21st century (Titus 2:1-8)
- Edify: For each of our members to become a family that God envisioned in His Word. To support, fellowship, and fully develop relationships as a spiritual family (Romans 14:19).
- Empower: To identify, develop, and utilize, the God-given talents, skills, and abilities that the Lord has blessed each member with in order to become more effective servants of God's kingdom (Ephesians 4:10-13).
- Serve: For the congregation to minister in whatever ways possible to assist our neighbors and spiritual family (Romans 15:26-27).
